Default Dome/Map lights

Well i have a '98 dodge and my map and dome lights just recently went out. I was looking into LED replacements, but im not sure what type of bulbs the map lights are or the dome light. Has anybody replaced these with brighter white LEDs?

Also, i've been looking into the DDM HID kit. Has anybody used this? what did you get? i was thinking 55w and 6000k. they say if you go with the higher watts, that the color is flushed out a little more so i went up to the 6000k. And do we need the HID harness and error eliminator?

Thanks for all the help guys.

There is a thread here about someone who is replacing all of the lamps with LEDs - do a search.

The DDM HIDs are being discussed here in this thread:

I'm having trouble finding the link to the LED conversion the previous member did. Could someone post the thread?

I did them to my truck. Got the ones from AutoZone and spliced them into my existing wiring.
