The Mickey Thompsons MTZ are a great tire ...and If I ever wear them down I will buy another set without hesitation . I paid $200 CAD each for 315/75/16 . I live in Eastern Canada and have had no problems with traction in any condition . They are also very quiet for a large aggressive tire. Good Luck with your Tire Search .

I just got a set of 305/70/16 kumho KL78 and so far they seem great, we don't have any snow on the ground yet but there's almost no road noise and they're a lot more stable on gravel than my old 245s. Also, the truck is not lifted and the tires don't come close to rubbing on the road.

Erm, don't you WANT your tires to rub on the road???? Isn't that the whole point? Do you have the worlds first levitating Ram???? Kidding.
Those are basically 35 inch tires are they not? What gears do you have, and how does it drive around town for ya? (I am consider tire sizes, but, don't wanna go to large for my 3.55 gears.)

IMO, the best bang for the buck and generally an excellent tire all-around are the Firestone Destination A/T. Great traction, pretty quiet, and awesome tread wear for an aggressive A/T tire. I say this quietly, as I'm working for an independent who slings Goodyears. Not that the Silent Armors aren't great tires; They are. But expensive. Like, you'd probably be pushing $900 after M&B and tax.
