If you want better mileage, buy a car with a 4-banger.

Not a good indicator..... On my truck, when I fill it up, I can drive 100 miles before the gauge comes off the peg. Then, it reverts to its sweep second hand behavior.

Best way to figger it out, is by mileage driven, divided by gallons used.

Default You dont get it....

If I WANTED A 4 banger, or if I was WORRIED about my gas, then I WOULDNT have bought the V10. MY POINT IS....I dont want to WASTE my gas trying to figure out something that someone MUST already know. So, please, keep your smart comments to YOURSELF.

You bought a V10 and you're worried about gas mileage?

Seriously, you need to step into reality. People here who know me know that I say this often in the forums:

"Trucks are for hauling cargo, not for hauling ***."

Using a V10 for a daily driver makes as much sense as playing Pickup Sticks with your buttcheeks. They're geared to haul as much as a diesel.

Sounds to me like you were enamored by the BIG ENGINE without thinking everything through.

If you want better gas mileage, get a 4-banger.

He's made it pretty clear he doesn't care how much he spends in gas, he just wants to know the MPG's out of curiosity.

Well since every truck is different and every driver, drives differently there is no way we will be able to tell you what kinda mileage this truck will get. Not towing in good condition with a fair foot you should be around 11 but it could be as low as 8 or as high as 14. You dont have to drive around and waste gas but when you do fill up check the mileage and you will soon be able to figure it out

there was a member here Miami_Son. He had a stock V10 no lift, but had BFG A/t's and he said he got 8-10 being easy with it, and it gets around 6-7 when heavy on the foot....

I never tried that, sounds like it would be difficult.
