rim/tire width question

Default rim/tire width question

hey guys..im going to be getting some new sneeks for my ram come tax time. im going with treadwrights. my question is...will 305/70/16 fit ok on the stock dodge rims? they are considered a 33/12.5. how wide are the stock 16's on our trucks? TIA

Well my stock 16's from my 2001 are 16X7. Look on the inside of your driverside passenger dorr and there is a white sticker with your stock wheels size on it.

well i would, but my truck is about 12 miles or so away from me atm...thats why i posted on here for some insight...

16x6.5 or 16.7..... putting a 12.5 inch wide tire on those is iffy......

Just so you know your math is a little off 305 is only 12 inches wide

according to treadwright its 12.2..so i rounded up to 12.5..haha..ok, so now i know that my rims are about 7" wide..hey you says its iffy...but...is it doable?

i have 315/70/17 on 17*8 and on treadwright they recommed 8.5-10 inch wide rim but they worked fine on my 8 inch rim

I have 265 70x16 on 10" wheels. Strictly on road, 2 wheel drive. I like for the rim to be a little wider than the tread of the tire is.

i am curious if the 285 fit stock wheels i got 265's on there now no prob
