Default Put motor in but it wont fully start

So i installed my motor last weekend and wired everything up. I have no CEL at this time or anything but when i turn it over i keeps turning over until it drains the battery basically. but it acts like it wants to fire but something is stopping it.(fuel pump is working)

There is one ground wire that i missed and im finding where it goes but not sure if thats the problem yet

AND also when i turn it over the ground wire that goes to the passenger side valve cover seems to be smoking. Its not from heat transfer cuz the motor is still cold but it seems like its getting some kind of electrical charge. Anyone know what would cause this?????

I know there can be many problems with electrical but any help would be awesome

The wire i missed goes from the back of the motor somewhere (heads, block, trans, something) and is connected to the firewall just above the break master cylinder. could someone check that out for me

Just keep in mind a engine needs 3 things to fire; air, spark and fuel. figure out which one your not getting. On a side note, were you the one that put jet fuel in your engine and blew it to hell?

The ground wire above the "break" booster, connects to the back of the head just like the other side.

No i didnt put jet fuel in my truck, cant remember who did it on here. basically i wanted a fun project to fill some time and since i like mechanics and have removed and worked on mostly every part on a 2nd gen dodge i decided to remove the engine, rebuild it, and put er back.

Any chance you pinched the crank sensor wires?
