hmm id still check the rear pinion, even if the nut is tight id take the drive shaft off and tap it with a hammer to make sure it hasnt started coming out

Well i drained my transfer case and no shavings were in it, I popped out the driveshaft and the snap ring is still in there and fine. The pinion nut isn't backing out. So Idk what it could be I sure hope its not the torque converter. Its so weird how it only does it when I back off the gas to a certain point or.hit the gas at a certain point

How did you first check the drive shaft ujoints? (truck on ground in park wont cut it) And did you check them again when you had the shaft out?

As long as the joints felt smooth and were not binding in any way or felt rough, I guess you are good in that department.

yeah the joints are only about 5 months old anyway, they felt fine. there is some play in the pinion in the back up down side to side. so im going to put my new axle in within the next couple weeks and hope that helps. but i dont understand if it was that why it would only do that when im doing around 55 or above and let off or touch the gas slightly

Actually, now that I think about it, my 1500 did the same, never did figure it out. It got wrecked before I could. But I always suspected the transfer case.
