318 performance
[QUOTE]What machine shop was silly enough to overbore your engine 80 thousandths? None of them around here will go over 60. Start getting awfully thin on the cylinder walls there....../QUOTE]
well i had a friend do it and he said the same thing you walls are going to be extremely thin but i haven't had a problem yet. and everytime i pull off at a red light my tire come off the ground just like i was after lol

Wow, this thread is filled to the brim with FAIL
Boring .080 is going to gain you about 10ci but significantly reduce the life of the block. If it had to be bored that much, sleeves are in order. My guess is you gained more power with a fresh block and possibly a bit high compression ratio with new pistons, not with the overbore
A quick search of any distributors website will teach you quickly that there is no difference between a 360 and 318 head. Not one bit. The difference in compression on these engines has to do with the piston face design, not the heads.
There are better performance options for your puter than a module from a jeep, and likely it won't control the trans correctly, unless it was designed for a manual.

lewt him put in that jeep performance module and see him come back when his truck doesn't run. If the jeep performance module even connects to the wiring harness.
Also, it took a long time to get someone to say that 360 heads are the same as 318 heads.
He will break his truck and be back here.

I wish I had kept my 5.9 valves from my build to check, but I only kept the springs and rockers fro some reason.

edit: Here is a snippet from old post from Evan:

I would post a pic of a Brown and Sharpe Vernier Caliper next to a valve but they wont let me post photos...I have no reason to lie and I can damn sure read a micrometer so you tell me...One thing you should know about Dodge is there are no absolutes...I build custom wiring harnesses all the time using MAgnum engine harneses and TJ Wrangler under hood harnesses and they change the wire colors all the time without telling anybody or making any FSM changes...in other words, just because you have 3 pairs of 1.92 heads doesnt mean they are all that size. Ever heard of California emissions? Do you live on the west coast? I have seen lots of strange things done to vehicles speced for CA including different valve sizes, compression ratios and PCM programming.

whats your explanation for going that deep into the block?

the heads are the same. all magnum heads are the same, unless they are V6.
magnum heads are an upgrade for LA blocks as well, better than using the 5.2L heads on a 5.9L.

haha... what a dick eh... well I have the same truck and am interested in squeezing some cheap power out of the old girl too.... which is why i came to this thread....so same question but more polite
Just passing on information from someone more experienced than In am. I linked you to the website. Call him and talk to him about it.
