This will explain what the CAD is http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/repair/..._engagment.htm But I'd also say it's a bad front axle u joint.

well took the CAD off and it all looks good to go....moves freely. The vaccum inlet holds pressure and slides the shift fork, and the outlet works as it should. I checked the vaccum lines and they were fine. Truck drives and turns without any vibration or clicks. Its only when I cut the wheels hard to the right is when the clicking and jerking occurs. I guess the next step is to change the u-joints and see if that is the problem.

wait a minute - don't change the u-joints without proving they are bad. twist the axle u-joints. there should be no play at all. they are likely loose and clicking/clacking.

to check the wheel bearings, grab the top of the tire and shake it in/out as hard as you can. there should be no play. if there is, it might be wheel bearings or it might be ball joints. bad wheel bearings can roar or click or fall off. ball joints don't click much, but might shake and rattle.

This is getting fusterating! Like I mentioned before its only clicking and jerkind when I turn all the way to the rifgt. Drives straight with no shake or vibration! I was searching the internet and found another part that may be the problem...the cad vaccum switch on the transfer case?!? Will have to check that again. There were no apparent leaks. Again it acts like the pass side is still engaged when in 2wd. Thanks again for all of your suggestions. I will keep hunting! Vaughan...I will try what you suggested, but I have shook the wheel with no movement, but will try harder. I am hoping that the ujoint is ok but not to hopeful. Again thanks!
