Default In need of desperate help!!

I pulled off the gauge overlay which included having to remove the needles. I put them back on and the tachometer is not working at all. The battery voltage seems a little off but thats it. How do I fix it?

I'm not sure about now, but back in the day with the old gauges when they would come off you had to replace them and if you were able to get the needle back on it wouldn'y be right. As for the voltage get a volt meter and check it at the alternater and have someone look at the gauge in the truck and tell you what it's reading. Good luck and why would you remove the overlay?

I got some white LED's to go in there. But with the blue tint it's got on it, it would be light blue and I want it all white. I was told it was removable. But that wasn't the case at all. Just hasn't been my night

Would resetting the PCM fix it if I pulled the needles and put them all back to zero?

somewhere on the forum there is a needle sweep test procedure, I can't recall the exact details to make it happen, but it was something like hold down the trip ODO button for 6 seconds and turn the key on. See if you can find that test and report back if the needle is working. If not, it isn't getting power.

Some of the gauges have a spring on the needle that returns the needle to zero point, and also serves to 'damp' the movement. Normally, the needle is prevented from unwinding by the 'stop' at the zero mark.... pull the needle off, and the spring can fully unwind.....

Are the dodge gauges this way? I don't know. Do the needles move at all when you cycle the key/start the engine?
