Default Fancy Interior Stuff...

I have a 97 Ram 1500 SLT Laramie. I have to replace the little light inside the steering column, and i just want to know if the interior lights are supposed to slowly fade, along with that light in the column?

Yep. If you get in, close the door, and do nothing...... the lights will slowly fade out after a few minutes. (same thing happens when you get out, but, as you are not in the truck, you just don't notice. )

Nope. My 96 behaves the same way. Guess I wasn't very clear on that huh? The light in the column will shut itself off after a few, or, when you turn the key.

Only the light in the steering column does that. Is there something wrong with the time delay relay if the interior lights just shut off when the door closes?

The interior lights are not on a delay, only the key halo.
