Ah, VERY cool, thank you. I was never able to find anything in long tubes, aside from the pacesetters.

I have a 98 5.9 (well, 96 engine and 46RE, 98 PCM) in my 98 Jeep TJ with 35s and 4.88s, and for only being a 4000lb Jeep, I only get 10 around town, sometimes 11 on the highway. When I'm wheeling around in low range I'll get about 7.

One full tank into my road trip I yanked out the towing tune. I got 13.4MPG with it. Then on the way home I got whacked with 3.5 hours of stop 'n' go traffic and killer head and front quartering winds, so the 12.8MPG I got after returning to the towing tune doesn't mean much at all. With any luck, it'll be a three weeks before my next road trip and the weather will cooperate... as if it does that in December!

You're welcome! If you put some on, then it might be that you and I end up being the only 2nd genners sporting Thorleys -- and we can laugh at and taunt everyone else with their goofy pipes.

(Us Olde Phartes gotta stick together.)

I know thsi isnt a dodge truck, but my 98 Grand Cherokee has the 5.9 engine and 46re transmission. Im getting around 13.3 mpg in the city, and around 18mpg or more on the freeway/highway if its free flowing traffic for the cruise control set at 60mph. Someone mentioned OD, even in the city mine is in Overdirve once i reach around 38-40mph. Since most city roads are 35-45mph. Im always in overdrive, but where i live there is alot of stop lights so i tend to drive with a very light foot as i pretty much know when the lights are going to be red. If i drove the 5.9 like you should because of its beastly power i get around 11.8mpg in the city.

Jeep is stock weighs around 4100-4200 pounds or so, does have a big transmission cooler on it tho, 3.73 gear, stock sized sized.

Deff nothing compared to my 4.0 Grand Cherokee, i get easily 16mpg in city, 17 if i try. And around 22mpg on the highway
