Default pcm test

I need to know if anyone knows how to test a pcm to make sure its bad. I have no fuel,no spark , no fuel pump prime and no CEL,the engine cranks . I checked the asd relay and is't good and the wiring to the pcm seems fine but my pocket scanner has no communication . The truck sat for about a year with a dead battery. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Check wiring for cam and crank sensors first. If they have been chewed on by little critters looking for a new home..... the PCM won't do squat.

And no, there is no way to test the PCM without sending it somewhere or bringing the whole truck to the dealer.

well guys i got a new pcm and she runs, thanks for the ideas. Now i just have to figure out what code p1391 and p0201 are. It wont idle by its self so im thinking the iac might be stuck from sitting so long. the codes should tell me what the problems are though. I got a new PCM and got fuel , spark , and check engine light back.

P1391 Intermittent Loss of CMP or CKP

Check wiring for cam and crank position sensors.

P0201 Injector #1 Ctrl Circ

Check the connector and wiring for the number 1 injector as well..... you may have critter issues, or, you may have a PCM that wasn't quite as bad as the original.
