Default Tranny cooler lines

So, I just got done working on a 2001, 2500HD. The radiator is leaking by the upper hose. Where the plastic meets the core. Obviously needs a rad. But, when I looked on the pass. side of the rad. the tranny lines are going directly to the cooler(check valve and all) and there are NO connections to the rad at all. There is not even any bungs or quick connects or any type of ports/threads molded into the radiator. This is something I have yet to see. I guess my question would be for anyone with an 01. Just to see if Dodge changed something in that year.

Also possible that someone has swapped the radiator out in the past, and got one for a manual trans truck. (I have seen that before.....)

my non-tow package 01 just has a built in cooler in the radiator, and nothing in front.

I was thinking the same thing, but the connections are all factory, there are no clamps and nothing is cut. The tranny was just done and all the lines were replaced.

edit, seems to me dodge ran out of radiators for auto's and just used the manuals instead of buying more, since they were going to gen 3.

My 01 1500 is this way. I always thought it was strange. I have never had a problem with it getting to cold so I dont worry about it.

my 01 1500 has the bungs in the radiator, although when i replaced my transmission i completely bypassed the rad. cooler and check valve and just went directly to my aux. cooler.
