I think only the sidewall is kevlar. They are a pretty aggressive off-road tire, and they are not cheap. I wouldn't run them on a daily driver, but that is just me.

I paid a good penny for mine and I rotate and re-balance every 3000 miles and ive got 18,000 on them. I have less then half tread left great tire when its cold they have a nice hum to them. Off road wise amazing no complaints in the mud except it takes for ever to clean all the mud off. LOL

yep have a set, 10,000 miles 3/4 tread left
deep snow: great
black ice: good
white snow covered ice: bad very bad
slush: very good
dry: very good
rain: very good
looks very good
balancing: not good
cost: very high
longevity: not a good outlook
very smooth riding tire
not a squishy tire like some mud tires
Will I buy again nope.

Buddy of mine has them on his jeep and currently has put 15,000 miles on them and now has less than 50% tread. Also if u do get them make sure they're mounted corretly because they're directional.

I had discount tire install mine and they have over a pound of weights on 2 tires its BS. If you got money to throw away go for it. Me I wouldn't buy them again not for what they cost and how long they last.

Ever consider Treadwright retreads? They have the old goodyear M/T (wrangler?) tread pattern. I just bought a set of 285/75/R16 Guard Dog M/T's (goodyear tread). They were $550 dollars shipped to my door. I have 1k miles on them with no complaints. They balanced nicely will little weight, only hum over 30 mph (radio drowns them out easily), look great, shipped fast and so far are great in the snow.

They're junk. General Red Labels are now DOT approved. (If you even care about that sort of thing) They're not too bad either, and are better then any failyear tire out there.

Expensive, and rather soft compound though, are they not? Won't get a lot of miles out of them?
