Take your diff covers off and see if you find any bits of metal in the front or rear end. I had ticking to and I ended up finding metal shards from my rear end in the diff case.

Get your PCV valve from the dealership. The aftermarket fellers aren't worth squat.

I don't think there are any gaskets on the stock exhaust manifolds....

There are ones on this engine... I'll take a picture tomorrow of my engine and manifolds. There is a gasket but it looks funny. Maybe another bad job from the previous owner.

Yeah, the 'not so bright' previous owner syndrome.... been there, done that....... If there are indeed gaskets there, its a good bet the PO has been in there..... you may be able to fix it simply by putting in some new gaskets then.

I started it up this morning and drove it instantly and it didnt make the tick, but 5 min later when It warmed up it started ticking. I hear the gaskets on the exhaust manifolds can warp and go bad after time and then resulting in a cracked manifold. I'm replacing the gasket tomorrow or thursday, should I replace the gasket at the connection of the manifold/exhaust also? Thanks dudes

Only if you have to.... Those bolts can be a real bare to get out, without breaking them. (or, if you have a hot wrench, warm them up a bit...... and they will buzz right off.) You will probably have to, unfortunately, as changing the gaskets without cleaning the surfaces, probably won't help.

Just got done replacing the driver side gasket (i actually double up the gaskets using the old one since it looked ok). Took it for a short drive and no change, still the awful tick tick tick Im going to work on the passenger side this weekend. Do you think I should scrap the gaskets all together?

Need to look at both mating surfaces, and decide from there. If the gaskets that are currently there are leaking... simply adding another one may not solve the issue.
