i dont see a major difference between the two aside from the plastic at the top and bottom.....why would you want to change?

and yes, they are the same.

In the two picks you showed one is glue in and the other has the rubber seal, they should fit, just different ways to attach it to the truck. Be careful if you go with the rubber seal as they like to leak. If you don’t need the window with the rubber seal, I am interested in it.

Well I broke my old style slider and the glass shop was going to install the new style, the glue in one, so they should swap.

REVIVAL from SEARCH!

We busted the rear glass in a 2000 (glue in). I have a '96 (rubber seal) donor here.

If we get the back glass out of the 2000 (which I understand will suck per other threads here), I just want to super-extra-confirm the rubber seal version should fit? Posts above suggest they interchange, I'm just trying to be absolutely certain.

I find it unlikely (but not impossible) Dodge changed the sheetmetal around the window in '98??

Well the '00 is coming out. One of my helpers/volunteers is doing it but it sure doesn't look like fun. An OMT seems useful for removing the adhesive.

Here's hoping the '96 will drop back in. Looks like it should

Ok, the '96 glass fit with relatively minimal fuss
