Default Interchangeable Tuners

This question is mainly for the Flashpaq by Superchips. I'm looking to buy a flashpaq 3815 from a guy that had it on his 06 5.7l Hemi. I have a 99 5.9l and was wondering if I can use it on my truck, and if I need to update it through the superships website. I had read that a lot of guys are running the 3815 on their 2nd gen rams but I wanted to make sure since it is was used on a 5.7l Hemi that it will work on my 5.9l. Thanks everyone

Two completely different engines. I would suspect that no, it will NOT work.

If you want a tuner, PM Hemifever here on this website. He has "canned" tunes (for basically stock motors) for 275.00 (he may be having a sale at the moment, chat with him about that....) and custom tunes (modified engines, heads, cams, things of that nature) for 375.00

Probably one of the BEST cost/benefit ratio mods available.

Although I agree an SCT is better(except for no tire size change), the 3815 SC will work on your truck without a doubt. As long as the PO set it back to stock.

The 3815 (I own one) will fit 98-08. 318, 360, hemi, 4.7... Amazing that they stuffed so much into it though.

BTW, it is for sale..PM me

Edit:

OP: As long as the tuner has been deprogrammed from the other truck, it will work fine. Plug it into yours and see if it says it is VIN locked on start up or not. If it is VIN locker the 3815 can be reset via superchips for $50.
