Just ordered up this bad boy. Hopefully a new power steering pump for a diesel will be better than my reman'd POS ACDelco unit. At least I can use the new reservoir that came with that crappy pump.

Does the pump come with a new flow control valve? I think the valve is the real problem, the pump should be able to crank out MUCH more pressure/volume than the steering really needs.

I would think the valve is inside the pump... is it not? It's a brand new Borgeson steering box (Delphi type) and they say it can add strain to the pump... which is why I changed it. I just don't trust this reman'd pump. My original pump had no problem steering the truck at a stand still with the stock gear box. Of course, the new box has a whole 3 turns lock to lock, so I'm sure it requires a bit more pressure to do so.

It might. The valve also secures the tank to the pump though I think, so, it may, or may not, come with it.....

Hrmmmm, the reman'd pump I bought came with a tank. I still have the old pump setup, so if I need to swap them out (if possible) I guess that can happen.
