Default Still No speedo...getting very angry....

ok, well as you know when i replaced my t-case, my speedo no longer worked....so i put the 95 pieces in, and still nothing.....i was unable to change the sensor itself due to the fact that it was a different hook up. both had same part numbers and everything....same t-case etc....

now i just went and bought a new f'n sensor with new wire harness etc, and guess what, still nothing.....all my wires are good nothing is pinched or separated.....havent checked for power in the wires...

anyone know what could be my problem?

All your other gauges are working ? Get a cheap fuse checking tool and check them all quick , easy and cheap test .

Should be power to the speed sensor as long as the engine is running. (I don't know if the PCM will trigger ASD relay if you just turn the ignition on.)

my fuel guage doesnt work, but it hasnt worked for about 8 months.....will check grounds today.......where the sensor harness meets another harness on top of the tranny, does the ground wires go into another ground? i havent pulled back the tape to check yet.

If it's a bad ground , could be anywhere as the wires were being disturbed during your TC removal .

page 12-38 in Haynes for fuel gauge. It may share a ground or some thing else in common with the speed sensor.

but my speedo was fine until i removed the t-case.....and i carefully took all the brackets out and moved the wires out of the way, so there was no way possible to get anything pinched, i didnt pull on the wires or anything....

i disconnected battery when i did it.....didnt change...once i hit speeds to shift to O/D, CEL pops on, and gives me code 12....saying i dont have signal to it....

now can i check for power to the wires without the truck moving? like i said i figured it triggers power when it starts moving.

and the fuel guage i know is not a ground.....i was out wheeling, and there was a LONg staright away, and i was doing 60, and hit a little dip....i think i got the tires off the ground, but after that my guage has been stuck on full.....i feel the floater is the culprit to that.

you might have some luck swapping out the actual cluster with one from a junk yard. some kind of solenoid probably got shorted out in it. you said all the sensors and wires are new, the cluster would be the next step in my books
