LOL, yeah, no wonder the tranny is toast. I knew something didn't look right.

Took the truck to do some thing's and all is good with the gasket, thank God. Anyway, here is a pic of the old pan.

Wow. That's NASTY. What the hell do they put on the roads there in NH? Was the truck used in a fertilizer plant previously??

Landscaping company owned it and plowed also. I suspect it spent a lot of it's life parked on dirt or whatever. Of course so did my 98 before I built the garage. I could and should have used the pan from that to save some money.

What's wrong with the 98 that it has been delegated to 'parts donor' status?

It got backed into an 8 foot drainage gully, due to brake line failure last year, two days before I had my ummm foot amputated. LOL I'm LOL now, only because I have a replacement foot now, kind of like having the 98 around for parts. LOL

that oil pan looks pretty bad. is there only that 1 hole? i used seal all on the holes on the oil pan on my 91 until i had a chance to braze them(i couldn't afford a new oil pan).

There is more than one spot, that one was the worst, and tried to seal it Sunday, so I could get to work. Put a screw in with some black rtv, didn't work though.
