LOL. To get a custom driveshaft made/balanced will cost upwards of $500 at least. He will need full instrumentation will cost $700+. Gauges aren't cheap. The frame will need to be beefed up in the area of the motor mounts, and to do it at cost will be around $300 worth of steel, plus welding supplies and paint. Motor mounts if you buy prefabbed ones will be around $150, however since there is no such thing, those will be custom also. Fuel delivery system, ignition, wiring, hoses, cooling, and all other incidental expenses/supplies.

**** adds up really fast when you're doing custom work. I will stand next to that $10k figure all day long.

i know custom work is expensive but i am pretty sure you could re-use or find some of the stuff needed cheap. you might be able to use the old gauges with the 440. just leave the computer in and hot wire the engine and use the sensors from the 5.2. for the drive shaft you could probably find the right one in the junk yard if the stock one don't work. there is so many way to try saving money.

"Hot wire the engine", use a non existent driveshaft from a junkyard, using OBDII Gauges with a computerless engine, and use sensors a carbureted engine won't need..

Its really obviously you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

you would not need all the sensors. you would only need some of the basic one like Coolant Temperature Sender, Oil Pressure Switch and Speed Sensor. you would only need to find a drive shaft if the stock one is not the right size.

correct! using the 96 stock sensors with the stock 96 wiring will make the gauges work, everything else can basically be cut off, it jest sets the CEL, but that is easy enough to remove from the dash as it will no longer be needed, i ran my cummins off the v-10 electrical, untill i was able to track down the correct stuff, not a problem one, just a CEL

dont know for a fact how much a 360 mount differs from 72 to know but heres a start 3rd from the bottom for 2wd

if i rem correctly mopar action did this same swap 10 to 12 years ago may be able to do a search through the internet for the old issues

as far as the drive shaft issue hmm it really isnt hard to take a tape measure and the u joints to match everything up biggest problem making sure a junk yard shaft is prop balanced
