i think the hardest part would be making custom motor mounts if it wont bolt in. other wise electrical should be easy. you can pretty much hotwire the 440 and you could try using the sensors from 318. should be able to most of the gauges working.

Haha oh man. Ur entire truck is not going to work. You're going to need gauges, motor mounts, new crossmember, new cooling system, new transmission, new driveshaft, and all the hard parts that go with an engine.

Ur looking at over 10k. Have fun!

he said the engine is coming with a transmission. a drive shaft should not be too hard to track down. i know on the older dodge trucks they had 2 different size of universal joints for the drive shafts and i doubt that has changed. it should not cost over 10k.

probably cost the upwards of 5K if he doesnt do it himself....and if he does do it himself....i have a feeling he'll burn the truck before the end because of how much frustration he'll have.

If there are emissions testing laws in place where the OP is, putting the older motor into a newer truck will NEVER pass.

Although, a 440 in a second gen would ensure an adequate amount of power.

Yeah, emissions laws are anything but consistent..... even from city to city, ESPECIALLY from country to country.

i know. it changes a lot province to province or state to state. i know if i live about 1 hour north of where i currently live my 91 would not have to do emission testing at all.
