Exclamation Power Window Stuck..Please Help!

Good morning all.

I have a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 5.9L with a bad power window. My motor is completly gone, so I can not get it back up that way. Is there any way I can get it up manually? I have already taken the door panel and rain shield off just to take a look at things and nothing is broken or missing. Please someone help me, it is getting damn cold here! LOL

LOL! I don't know about that problem you are having but, as far as the window goes, what about removing the motor, slide the window up, and temporarily prop it up in that position from inside the door.

Sounds like a good plan, but how do I make it slide up? Remove all the bolts that hold the power motor? Yes, I am dumb, and will ask dumb questions, lol

Default bad window reg

there is 3 rivets or bolts holding motor in place. Once removed window will slide up and down. I use a hose clam around the window track to hold it in place till repaired.

If you are going to all the trouble of removing the power window motor, why not just replace it??
