Default Need a new stub axle, passengerside 4wd

Guys, I repaired 2 bad front axle u joints on my 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4wd. While I was driving the truck I heard 2 loud bans and than noticed one ujoint cap popped outward, subsequently bending one "wing" of the stub axle which bolts to the hub.
-Can I heat that and bend it back into shape
-or would my best bet, buy another one.....Which I cannot find, to date.

ANY help, suggestions, or known parts suppliers for that short stub hub axle?? I wanna get this job done, for good!!!

Stub shaft. Scroll down a bit. 120.00 bucks. Not exactly cheap, but, heating and re-bending the current one will weaken it..... and you just know it will break at the least convenient moment.....

I also destroyed a stub axle on my truck when the wheel bearing went out. I purchased one from Machine Service. I was able to actually walk into the company to buy it but they do have a website. I have a non front abs truck but the abs shaft worked in mine as I do not think that they made a non abs shaft. If I remember correctly I paid $75 two years ago for my stub shaft. Make sure to keep the nut off the old shaft as I do not think the new one I got had one (nut was available at parts store though).

You will have to give them a call or send and email to get the proper shaft.

Gerehead, Thanks for the info. I called this morning, the stub shaft is stocked and will be shipped immediately(about $90). Awesome!! Thank you so much for your help. I searched for days and came up empty handed. You and Machine Services made my day! Thanks again.
