Please help a noob!
Greetings, I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 gas. I have tried to do as many repairs on the truck myself as possible. Lately my truck has died a few times at red lights, low idle. Its starts right back up every time, and when it's rolling it feels strong. I got a code and scanned it.
P0443- Purge Valve Solenoid.
I ordered one, but it has not arrived yet. I checked my Haynes manual but for the life of me I cannot find this valve where the book says it should be. I have searched the forums and the net' but I can't get a clear description as to where exactly it is locatd. Different people give different locations.
Perhaps someone out there has the same truck as me and know exactly where this is located? Has anyone out there changed this valve and had it fix the problem? I've heard people mention vac lines often also....
Please help me!

It's on the passenger side inner fender well . It might fix that code, but I don't think it has anything to do with the stalling issue. For that, you might try removing the IAC sensor on back of the Throttle body and spray it down with carb cleaner. Clean the bore in the TB in which the sensor goes into. Remove Neg. battery cable before doing so.
edit.... welcome to DF btw

hmm..
Thank you so much for your quick reply. The location you supplied me with is yet another different location I have been told...sigh
Inside the passenger fender well...is it mounted to anything? Is there any landmark I could find that would give it away? I have thought about trying to locate the canister (which I have been told is located under the truck?) and tracing the line back to the valve??
The IAC solenoid behind the TB is something a lot of other people are mistaking for the purge soleniod, i pulled it thinking it was what I needed, but it was not. I will pull it again and do your recommendations though.
