Default kegger mod

I have a 99 ram with 5.9 and I'm gonna be tackling the plenum gasket here soon. I want to do the kegger mod. About how long does it take to actually do? I've been lookin around for another intake but can't find any around here. So pry end up using one when I do plenum gasket.

I put about 15-20 hours into mine, but, I had to remove the center wall as well, shouldn't be an issue for you. I also use a dremel to 90% of the cutting.... slow work. Not having to do the center wall will save you a bunch of time, still, expect to spend a minimum of 5 hours on it. Probably more.

Just going to throw this out there, was it worth the 15 /20 hours? Or would purchasing a Fastman TB and bolting it on and have the same results have been worth it? JMHO. but I think the Keg mod ranks right up there with the TPS mod.

Does Fastman sill make TB's? I thought he stopped. You're looking at upwards of $150

Modifying your own throttle body is far cheaper, just getting the throttle plates is the hard part. (poor man's throttle body mod.)

I did the kegger mod just to allow the ports to breath a bit better. Did it make any difference in and of itself? No idea. The plenum was badly blown, and was sucking oil bigtime...... Now that I have everything reassembled, keg mod and all, along with new cap, rotor, plugs, timing chain and gears.... The truck runs FANTASTIC. (now I just need heat..... ) How much of the (re?)gained power is attributable to the keg mod, no clue.
