ok so i got a 98 1/2 ton 4x4 extended cab 318 with a 5 speed manual tranny. I bought the truck off the original owner who was an old guy and he still had the window sticker with it. When i looked at it, it said it has a heavy duty transmission but didnt specify any further. Is there a chance i have the nv4500 instead of the nv3500? how would i check. Thanks guys

 

Have a look under the truck, if the trans can be separated from the bellhousing, more than likely 4500. (parting line on same plane as clutch cylinder mount surface.)
