Question Catalytic Converter Problem

I need a little help. There are no warning lights and the truck runs normal, but there is a loud knocking sound coming from the Catalytic converters. What would cause this, and how do I fix it. The only replacements I can find are somewhere between $500-$800 each. Any suggestions on what to do or where to get new ones?

If you dont have cali emissions, you should only have one cat....if so you can pick up a universal magnaflow cat for under $200, someone should have a link up soon, if you have the older style cat that also doubles as a y pipe you can get a shop to put a y pipe in and install the cat right after....if you have the newer style exhaust they can just cut the old one out and replace,(unless you can weld then you can do this yourself)
