Default Stabilizer Arm Feels Loose in Snow

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 V8 5.9L and installed a rough country 2.5 inch leveling kit including shocks, springs, ublock bolt kit, and stabilizer arm and it seemed to drive fine before winter. I also just installed 33x12.5x16 super swamper mud terrains w/ dick cepek DC-1's.

I'm in the middle of a huge winter storm and had to leave early this morning with no plowing done in 4 wheel drive and in the tracks on the road if I would hit some of the higher snow it would feel like the back end was going to slide out from under me or like it would sway a quite of bit. But I don't think it was actually even sliding because the tires have a good grip on the road and when I stop quickly it doesn't slide at all.

I'm not sure if it's the tires or the stabilizer arm or what?
And if there is some other parts I would need to install what would that be?

Wide mud terrain tires in snow. They ARE going to give you some interesting behavior. crap building up under a tire on just one side is going to want to toss the back end around. Probably fairly normal behavior... Gotta be careful out there in that white crap.

Ha ha yeah it's pretty gnarly over here. Okay just wanted to make sure it wouldn't be anything wrong with the new stabilizer arm. They dig in pretty good though if your trying to get up a hill or out of a driveway.

Thanks HeyYou.

We are supposed to get "some" tonight/tomorrow. I have heard reports of anywhere from 1, to 12 inches....... see what happens. If we get enough, I will go out and play.

Throw some weight into the back of your truck. Couple hundred pounds at least. It will help.

Definitely going to add some weight to the back end!

Nice truck! Hate the snow though. Winter is not my favorite season.

I know, I can't wait until spring when it's prime time muddin' and I have a ton to shovel.

Have fun tearin' up the snow.

I've always heard that you want tall, skinny tires in the snow because with wide tires the snow will just pack into the tread (no matter how agressive) and it'll be like driving in heavy rain with a set of drag slicks installed.

They should drive good in the rain though right?

Cuz I'm thinking about ordering a different set for winter and keep these mud terrains for spring/summer/fall.

Nah, dont do that. Get good tires for spring/summer/fall/winter and put the Mud terrains on for off-roading.
