drive shaft fell off, kinda freaking out.
Yeah, its splined, and just slips in there. (and out....) Looks like one of the caps is still in there. The driveshaft is most certainly toast. You need another one. Can't really determine which end failed..... You are going to want to have a look at the rear yoke too, and see what kinda shape its in.
thats good news! thanks for the replies!
im looking online for a drive shaft but im not sure what one i need. i havent had the truck that long and its lifted.. i was told that means ill need a different drive shaft then what would be stock. im not sure what type of lift is on it , lol....

WOW that driveshaft is toast..and that yoke is supposed to pull out(that's the transmission yoke) get a driveshaft from a junkyard, get a master puller kit from Advance auto or auto zone and replace drive shaft u joints not real hard with kit did mine in about 40 min, kit will cost a deposit of around $100 well worth it to use it and get your money back, and makes it real easy

Up to about five inches of suspension lift, the stock driveshaft works fine. I cant really tell how much ya got there.....
Something else you can do is, Push the front yoke all the way in, then slide it back two inches. Measure from the center of the u-joint cap (or at least, where it should be....) to the center of the cap in the rear yoke. Tell whomever you are talking to that measurement, and they should be able to get you a shaft.
Ok, non-sequitur moment here.... This is the first time I have ever found anyone that WANTED to get the shaft........

Yeah that is your yoke that is supposed to slide in and out on the splines you had a simple ujoint failure. Like was mentioned before just go to a junkyard get a driveshaft out of the same model Ram go to the parts store get new ujoints and straps and bolt it all together its pretty simple. If you don't have any experince with this sort of work find a buddy that does. A six pack and a burger are a handy way to bribe a buddy to help you out. Thats the trick my friends pull on me all the time lol. Good luck bro
That is once again heyyou is correct, u had a ujoint give out, big tires on a stock drive line, breaks parts, like ujoints, all u need is a rear shaft out of a extended cab short bed truck... dodge obviously... new joints; about 10 bucks a peice and ur set, u where entering the highway, ie, u hammered on it, and that broke the caps which blew the joint.
