front brakes dragging

Default front brakes dragging

i put my new coils on today and notice that my front brakes are dragging not just a little bit they are tight i couldnt turn them when the tire was off i needed to put the tire on in order to turn the rotor... is my caliper bad or what both sides do it.So not sure if there is a valve or something please let me know. my pads are low again and its only been 14xxx miles

Take the tires back off. (sorry.....) pump up the brakes so that the calipers are locked. Then, crack open the bleeder valves, and see if that solves the problem. If it does, replace the soft lines. If it doesn't, replace the calipers.

ok its dark @ 5:30 when i get home so i will have to do it this weekend... gonna go ahead and replace the pad thanks to autozone lifetime warranty lol. Thanks heyyou ur a wealth of knowledge

ok did as you said it did bleed off and was easy to turn so i suspect the lines but i have to order them i went ahead and got the calipers to 15 bucks a peice cant beat it figured i would change it all got a set of ebc pads and slotted rotors ordered also while i am down there i might as well fix it all good lol

Don't bother with the extra expense of slotted rotors. It won't help you. The standard run of the mill generic rotors (made in the USA, china ones are sh*t) will work just as well.

thanks again u let me know whats worth it lol guess the regular rotors r just as good just not as pretty
