i just got a new truck 1998 ram 1500 has 5.9 need some ideas as to where to start building. if anyone has any good aftermarket web sites please post.

Read thru some of the threads on the plenum, and trans issues here. That will give you an idea of where to start. Fix the broke/weak stuff first, and make it reliable.

well it was a police truck all its life it has a new trans only about 3k on it it has 170k on the engine i would like to get a new hood grille and maybe a ram air set up

depends on what you want to do. if you want aftermarket accessories i like www.stylintrucks.com, www.truckchamp.com, www.summitracing.com, www.treadwright.com these are just a few of my fav's check them out or do a search of your own there are many places to go to find just about anything you want. Google search engine will become your friend, lol.

There is another thread on here, or maybe in general discussion.. with a REALLY nice ram air hood.... of course, all told, it is around 1500 bucks.... gotta be a cheaper way.
