Default 98 Re-badge

I have a 98 Ram 2500 with the Dana 60 F/A. I'd like to do a re-badge it with the 2007-2010 Badging and was wondering by today's standards what it would be? I don't think Dodge made a single rear wheel 1 ton back in 98. If this truck were made today, would they badge it a 2500 Heavy Duty or a 3500 Heavy Duty?

Just take ALL badges and lettering and moulding off.
Nice and clean.

Don't rice it out with the newer badges.

Just out of curiosity, What is the difference between a 3500 4x4 SRW and a 2500 4x4?

It's been a long time but if I remember correctly on the on the older Chevy's it was only the spring load. The axles, u-joint etc. etc. were the same.
(The truck was a '77 and this was 20 years ago that I owned it, so don't beat me up too bad if I am wrong...lol).

Well, the 3500 SRW USED to be known as the 2500HD when they had the HD and LD 2500's in the mid 90's..but that was the mid 90's.

I'm thinking the differences are the 3500 frame and springs and a 2500 rear axle.

I may be wrong.
