My half ton rolled off the assembly line with 265's, as did most of them to my knowledge. I don't think I had ever seen one the lot with 245's.
I was under the impression that 265's were factory equipment on the off-road edition, 245's on everything else. Even if that's incorrect, mine rolled off the line with 245's according to the dataplate (well, sticker).

Off road models came with 275/70/17's. My 2nd gen (non off road) came with 265's... and the sticker on the door panel still showed info about 225's and 245's.
I hope you guys realize the guy saying 265 ha a 3rd gen ram and the 225/245 guys have 2nd gen rams. Somethings wrong with this picture. And yes offroad are slightly bigger, not too much to brag though, its still stock sizes. I believe third gen came out with bigger ones, 2nd gen had smaller. heck 1st gens of any old trucks seem itty bitty to factory stock nowadays anyway. 2 points
you could always do what i did to my 99, for the front i put in coils rom a 2500, and for the rear you coild either remove the foctory 3" block and replace it with a 5" block from a 2500, or you could leave the 3" block in and just add a leaf. its a really cheap lift if you come across a wrecked 2500 to steal the coils and blocks from.
And it def wouldnt hurt to regear to a 4.10 instead of the stock 3.55......i wouldnt go much lower than that if your only going to go to a 33" tire. i think 4.56 or 4.88 would be too much.
bro.. your truck is a flippin beast. Hows the cylinder walls holding up on the 408. im wondering how long the life of those engines are. Thought about it as a future possibility.
