Yea that's what I was thinking but I just wanted to make sure before I go through all the trouble in swapping them out only to find that indeed they are different. I was just seeing if someone could tell me matter of fact that it would work or not.

Any other thoughts on whether this trans should work or not before I decide to swap them out?

Now forgive me for my ignorance, as I am used to Chevy's, but shouldn't there be a number cast into the side of the housing or a tag attached somewhere?

It seems to me there should be a really simple way to tell what it is by looking somewhere on the trans housing.

I still have a LOT to learn about Dodge's.

So I looked at the numbers stamped on the bellhousing and they are 064-5. Does that help identify the differences between trans or what year it might have come out of?

I went looking for some flavor of information on identifying chrysler trannies by casting numbers, etc. Found a fair bit of info for manual trans, but, very little for autos.
