No build sheet for me.

I really don't see what is so 'private' about what a truck came from the factory with.... Not like the information is going to be useful to you in any way, unless you are considering purchasing the truck..... When I got mine, all it had was information about the truck. Nothing at all on previous owners...... I am REAL curious what that is all about.
After all wouldn't we all love to know where those top-secret trucks are?

It's probably just a way to force me to give them my info... which I don't mind doing.
I think it's funny they want to update it so bad. The more bad info they have, the less people they have taking advantage of recalls!
As for going to a dealership... grrr... I'd go without first.
I sent her my info and told her to come on over for New Years.

I got that same response when I tried to get it online. I just went into the dealer and asked for it, I wasn't registered with Chrysler as the owner but I showed her my registration and she fixed me right up and printed me off a copy. Even scheduled me for a free hood latch replacement that was recalled lol

Here's what I got:
Thank you for contacting the Chrysler Customer Assistance Center.
Regarding vehicle build information you requested - we do not show you
as the current owner of this
vehicle and therefore cannot provide the information. We hope you
understand our position as this is a security measure we need to follow
for our customers.
If you are in fact the current owner, please reply to the link below
letting us know that you are verifying ownership and would like the
information to be updated in our system. We need the owner name, address
and telephone number, and current odometer reading. Please also provide
the date of purchase, the vehicle odometer reading at the time of sale,
and either the name of the selling dealer or that it was a private owner
transaction.
It is important to keep this database current so that we can keep you
up-to-date on recalls, customer satisfaction notifications and other
important information. You may again request original build information
at that time.
Thanks again for your email, have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Terri Lynne

I just used their "Contact Dodge" webpage on Tuesday with the VIN for the wife's 2006 Durango we just bought. Told them we had just bought it and we'd like a build sheet please. They updated their records that we are the current owners AND emailed me the build sheet. Not sure why you guys ran into walls.
