I think they only do that on the trucks that have the un-crackable dash "UCD" and leak free plenum "LFP"
After all wouldn't we all love to know where those top-secret trucks are?

It's probably just a way to force me to give them my info... which I don't mind doing.

I think it's funny they want to update it so bad. The more bad info they have, the less people they have taking advantage of recalls!

As for going to a dealership... grrr... I'd go without first.

I sent her my info and told her to come on over for New Years.

Ya that has to be new, because it was roughly a year ago i asked for my build sheet and didn't have that problem. Can you take it to a dealer? They will just give it to you there(build sheet...lol). I wish i had instead off waiting 2-3weeks online..

I already have 3 bids from middle eastern countries for my top secret build sheet!

I am not in much of a rush. The thing I am most interested in is the plenum and they won't show that.

If they really are that BAD. Get a 29 dollar lube job and you will be in the system. Then they can't say no.

Or you can get the 16 point inspection for 16.95.

I got that same response when I tried to get it online. I just went into the dealer and asked for it, I wasn't registered with Chrysler as the owner but I showed her my registration and she fixed me right up and printed me off a copy. Even scheduled me for a free hood latch replacement that was recalled lol

really? ive never heard of Chrysler replacing the hood latch!
ive known of 3 previous 2nd gen owners whos hoods flew up when going down the highway, it totally smashed their windshields and tweaked their hoods.
now im thinking of going to the dealership. i already need to get a pcv valve

for our customers.

If you are in fact the current owner, please reply to the link below
letting us know that you are verifying ownership and would like the
information to be updated in our system. We need the owner name, address
and telephone number, and current odometer reading. Please also provide
the date of purchase, the vehicle odometer reading at the time of sale,
and either the name of the selling dealer or that it was a private owner
transaction.

It is important to keep this database current so that we can keep you

important information. You may again request original build information
at that time.

Thanks again for your email, have a great weekend!

I recieved the same, so I just went back to the link supplied here, called the first toll free number, registered my info with them as the new owner of my truck. I had to wait 24 hrs (I waited 48 hrs to be sure) then simply called the second toll free number and requested the build sheet. I recieved it in the mail approx 5 days later.

I just used their "Contact Dodge" webpage on Tuesday with the VIN for the wife's 2006 Durango we just bought. Told them we had just bought it and we'd like a build sheet please. They updated their records that we are the current owners AND emailed me the build sheet. Not sure why you guys ran into walls.
