Yup, that's what I would think... dual 2.25 should be good, then you could put slightly bigger tips on the end if you dont like the way it looks...

I have the flowmaster dual out kit and the tips look great to me... they're 2.5"

Do you think that 2.25 is a good choice for the six? Think you should go just a little smaller. 2in possibly. That is alot of tube for less cylinders. I have heard the bigger pipes before and it sounded like crap. Could definetly tell it was a six.

yeah, you might be right. I would suggest experimenting with it... if 2.25 looses too much low end, then reduce it down to 2" and see how it does. I did this on my truck going from 2.5 dual outs down to 2.25, the muffler shop guy just poped them in there and let me drive it around for a week to see how it did, then brought it back and he welded it up.

Not true, I know a guy in TX who built up a 3.9 motor for his Dakota and is pumping out close to that of a 318 or more, I lost track.

edit: actually when it comes down to it, the more you mess with it, the more you learn what works and what doesnt. one guy might be looking for high end hp and another (like me) would be looking for low end torque...

My cousin has got a 3rd gen Ram with the 6, he has yet to do the exhaust. We have been looking into tube sizes trying to find some specs and dynos. He has already got the air intake and a chip. Runs pretty good
