dual exhaust anyone?
Yup, that's what I would think... dual 2.25 should be good, then you could put slightly bigger tips on the end if you dont like the way it looks...
I have the flowmaster dual out kit and the tips look great to me... they're 2.5"

Do you think that 2.25 is a good choice for the six? Think you should go just a little smaller. 2in possibly. That is alot of tube for less cylinders. I have heard the bigger pipes before and it sounded like crap. Could definetly tell it was a six.
yeah, you might be right. I would suggest experimenting with it... if 2.25 looses too much low end, then reduce it down to 2" and see how it does. I did this on my truck going from 2.5 dual outs down to 2.25, the muffler shop guy just poped them in there and let me drive it around for a week to see how it did, then brought it back and he welded it up.
ok guys thanks
im gonna get it done right up the road from me
these guys bend their own pipes and everything and my uncles pretty good friends with him so maybe hell let me try out the two different setups
apreciate all the input keep it comin if you got anymore

hhaha yea lucky for im the first one who gets to experiment right
but then again maybe thats a sign...nobody else in their right mind that has a v6 is dumpin money into it like im tryin to do
haha o well we'll see how it turns out...itll give me somethin to do
even if it doesnt juice the performance...at least itll look good

Not true, I know a guy in TX who built up a 3.9 motor for his Dakota and is pumping out close to that of a 318 or more, I lost track.
edit: actually when it comes down to it, the more you mess with it, the more you learn what works and what doesnt. one guy might be looking for high end hp and another (like me) would be looking for low end torque...
My cousin has got a 3rd gen Ram with the 6, he has yet to do the exhaust. We have been looking into tube sizes trying to find some specs and dynos. He has already got the air intake and a chip. Runs pretty good
o really?
the chip was an idea too
how much did that run him?
let me know if you find anything on those exhaust systems what direction i want to go with that part of this project
everything else is pretty str8 forward but with this exhaust i guess i hafta pick whether i want more high end or low end
keep me posted thanks
