Yes that should have been changed. Top Gun Customz has them for 3-6" lift.

get the 3-6" drop pitman arm. as far as trying to fig out 1500 compared to 2500 lifts, each one is different. depends if the rear is lifted with blocks or springs or both, which is what i believe you prob got on that truck (blocks), because he couldnt have put a 2500 lift spring pack on your 1500 withough modifying or changing the rear shackles and hangers bc your 1500 has a 2.5" leaf spring and the 2500 has 3", you'll have to measure the width of your rear springs and the height of rear block to know for sure, your stock block is 3" on a 1500, and 5" on a 2500+
what size tires are on it.
you should invest in a dual shock stabilizer for the front if your running larger sized tires

You have a lot of play in the steering because the steering system in these trucks is pretty shotty. I remember back in 94 when the trucks first came out reading the review for these trucks. Even back then, they noted 1-2 inches of slop in the steering. A Borgeson steering shaft, as well as a steering box brace will help. There is also some sort of bushing you can put into the column behind the wheel, but I don't know much about that. Perhaps someone else can chime in here.

A steering "stabilizer" won't to anything to help the issue you're having here. In fact, it won't do anything at all. There's a reason that no race truck has those silly things, they don't work. They don't to a damn thing at all. Spend your money on improving your steering, not trying to bandaid the problem.

The steering stabilizer only helps with bump steer but is not going to help with the sloppy steering that our trucks are prone to. The Borgeson steering shaft, as well as a steering box brace that BigRed recommended will make the steering more bearable.

The 2" block and an add a leaf is common practice with almost all of the lifts for our trucks. Skyjacker uses a 4" add a leaf in their 5" kit. The only other choice is to get a new leaf pack or make your own. All depends on what you want to spend and what your experience is.

wow it never surprises me how stupid ppl do things sometimes, do yourself a favor and change that. he def lied to you bc a lift would not hae come like that. you should only use the stock block and then get yourself a spring pack built for the rest of the height you need
