blend door actuator
Still no heat sooo im just gunna replace the blend door actuator, but i cannot find it.. I looked all over on the pass side near the tranny hump... I cant find anything that resembles the actuator to remove.. Any one got an exact location???
thanks but i been watching those videos for over an hour over and over and still couldn't find it.. sooo I went out to the 02 cummins and looked and found it right away... So its in a different spot on my 1996=/ Blah! Anyone now where?
Is your truck a 96? No blend door actuator motor for YOU! Cable operated. In the spot where the little motor is on the newer trucks, the axle for the blend door sticks out a bit. You should be able to feel it move as you cycle the temp control from hot to cold.
At one point, I had a bookmark to the procedure to adjust the cable. (and it was actually pretty easy.....) But, I am unable to come up with it now? It was posted right here on these forums, I think it was either J415, or ZMAN.......

haha! I was like wtf its right here on the 2002 cummins!!! Then i found something that sorta looked like it.. and pull that off and it was this white rectangle ceramic thing... idk wtf that was lol(i put it back carefully hahah).
The ceramic thing is the blower motor resistor and here are the directions for adjusting the cable, from the 98 FSM.
