Programmer Questions
Thanks everyone, It looks like i will be purchasing an sct tuner. I wasnt expecting to get huge gains in any departments but just enough to notice and also to get better overall performance.
You will notice quite a bit of performance if you use the 93 tune. The 87 tune isn't much but some say the 87 tune on the SCT is more aggressive than the 93 tune on the superchips and hypertech. Just the removal of torque management with the SCT is worth the 265.
Just got my SCT from hemifever on Friday, and have been running the 87 tune, only because I had a tank full of 89, but it is worth it, just from what little I have run it.
He also told me he would be on vacation this week, so your order may be delayed a little.

Hmmm,, I am also considering programmer for my 2000 dodge 5.9 ,
I called a area dealer and he said at 113,000 miles ,, he would not put a programmer on it. ive had it since 53k tranny rebuilt at 80k and take pretty good care of it.
Should I still consider a programmer?

+10 on the SCT tune and go ahead and do the harland roller rockers 1.7 ratio. also might want to seafoam the intake as well. i have done all of these in the last month and it has made a difference. oh and also a 50mm modded throttle body.
i have 307,000+ miles and programmed my truck. DO IT ANYWAY!!
