I will move this to the 2nd gen section (1994-2001) Dodge Rams, get you some ideas. If you don't like what you get there, you can consider a 2002-2003 Dodge Ram (3rd gen) by posting over in that section.

What do you want to to do with your truck? Do you off-road? Want to off-road? Just want larger tires? What is your proposed budget? Do you want to do it "right", or, do you just want to fit the larger tires......?

Well like HeyYou said, a lot is up to your budget and why you are doing it... My ram is a 2WD so I dont off road but I like tall trucks so I put blocks on the back and spacers on the front to get it as tall as a stock 4X4, not (just waiting on time) I have a 3" body lift to put on. All said and done it will be 6" of lift and I only have about $350 into it. I will post pics once I get the body lift done.

I am looking at having bigger tires mainly, and just having a mean looking truck. I live in Nebraska so the only off-roading we do around here is play in snow and mud so that all Id be doing. And budget is a little shallow

Most of the dodge trucks came from the factory with 3.55 gears, so, you aren't going to want to go much larger than 33" tires (285/75s'). Any larger, and you will also want to change gears. (which is NOT cheap.....) Probably just a leveling kit would be adequate to the task for that. Somewhere around 2.5 to 3"s?

I have 3in lift and 35x12.5's on mine. All stock gears and what not. Driving down the highway when the wind is blowing bad sucks. I live in KS and the wind is insane sometimes here and the truck is like a box driving down the road. It isnt very aerodynamic. But just driving around town I couldnt be happier. I was looking at body lifts yesterday and you can get those for pretty cheap (around 200 bucks or less if you want the bumper brackets that raise the bumpers) and they are pretty easy to install.
