Default obd1 to obd2 swap??????

my old 5.9 is dieing so i picked up a 96 ram with a 5.9 for dirt cheap. I was wondering if it possible to do an obd2 swap. i have an @** load of mods on my current motor but every time i through something at it i gotta have the computer tuned on a dyno and its getting pretty old so i figured i would swap harnesses, ecm, and motor and i could just send in my tuner and get a custom flash on it. but not sure if i can pull off the swap with my 46rh. basically all the 46rh needs controlled is the od, Right??

46RH has electronic control for fourth gear, and the TCC. RE adds the governor pressure solenoid, and a sensor to the mix. I have no clue if you could convert the trans.... but, seems like it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to just have that portion turned off in a custom tune? That would be a question for Hemifever though...... I really don't know as much as I would like about the dodge PCM's, and programming.

Aside from that, you may, or may not.... need to swap gauge clusters, and perhaps the IP wiring harness as well, but, if you have the whole truck to play with, it is certainly doable.

the 96 is 2wd and the tranny is toast i just built mine rock solid so i really dont want to ditch it. yeah forgot about the tcc being controlled as well. I wonder if it would be possible to run both ecms one for the engine and the other for everything else idk just tossing it out there. I wouldnt have these problems if i would have swapped to an nv4500 but standards suck on the rocks. i got plenty of time to ponder this im not going to jerk my motor until it blows.
