Angry headlight problem

Hi Guys,
helping my friend with a 1994 dodge ram diesel 2.5. No headlights. He messed with the multifunction switch so we bought a new one. No Luck. Headlight switch tests ok]. Parking, turn signal, and eflasher all work ok Any sage mechanics out there? I am old vw tech but retired for many years. I thought they were bad !
Odd that he claims when the engine gets warm they work. I have not personally confirmed this !

You can download a service manual for the truck from here. Wiring diagrams are in section 8W. I suspect a ground issue.......

Welcome to DF!

Bennibob, did you pull off the plugs at the end of the headlights to see (with the switch turned on) if you are getting any power?
