Rear Diff Fill Plug??

Question Rear Diff Fill Plug??

95 ram 1500 2wd 5 speed just filled the trans with gear oil wanna drain the diff and refill it while i've got that nasty crap out. Can't find a fill plug tho and don't want to drain it till i know how to fill it. Thanks in advance Casey.

To drain the diffs, you remove the cover and let it drail out. To fill the diff, install the cover and fill to the bottom of the fill hole (the only hole on the diff cover assuming you have stock diff covers).

fill plug for the rear diff is on the rear side, its a rubber plug about 2/3 of the way up the cover.

unlike a well thought out toyota rear end with a drain plug in the bottom, we have no drain.

Crack the case open and drain that way. Refill through the fillport.
