Default speedo issue

I'm borrowing a 1999 2500 cummins automatic 4x4. all of a sudden the speedo whacked out and the brake and abs lights came on. It's intermittant and only acts up after driving for an hour or so. After it starts freaking out every so many miles it flutters a split second then works fine. WTF?

probably a problem with the abs sensor in the top of the rear pumpkin, or its wiring.

if not that, then speed sensor in the rear of the tcase.

He was making a joke, just ignore him if you didn't find humor in it. Like the others said, check the RWAL sensor.

Well, I would suggest you develop either a thick skin, or, a sense of humor about the whole thing, as it happens on a regular basis.
