My Ram took a dump on Mpgs's

nope i dont need a cat really, my truck is a 95, so i dont have emissions, only safety, and im not worried about stickers, my buddy has an inspection liscence
and my muffler is cut out, so the exhaust technically ends after the cat. i still have the tail pipe in there. but im going to take my treaded rod and punch it out, and do the non-fouler trick. im the only one working right now, and weather is not being nice to me, since i work outside, so finances are tough right now, so i cant afford a new cat.

wow....ive been checking the plenum etc, but i havent been checking the air filter. Well i pulled it today, and it was covered in dirt and had mud on it. Filter is wrecked.
Also the breather on the drivers valve cover had sand built up in the rubber line. The sand was blocked by the filter in the breather. dumped it all out, Banged out the air filter and got ALOT of dirt out of it.
Truck sounds a little louder. I kinda think i blew a chunk of the cat out. I can really hear it rattling especially on slow take offs. Once i get paid, i may get a muffler, hollow that cat out, and have the muffler to build some of that backpressure back up and hopefully not lose low end torque since the exhaust ends after the cat. We'll see if the cleaning of breather and filter did anything for it...
checked my oil and theres no particles or anything, truck does not have a power loss that i can tell. although my rpms havent really exceeded 2200 RPMS in the past five days, trying to see if that helps with milage....want to get a vac guage installed. since those are quick and easy
