so would the fabtech kits be ok for a 2nd gen truck? It seems pretty good from looking at it? Alot of topgun stuff is rough country suspension from what Iv looked at. everybody I know with a rough country suspension rides really rough I don't know why though.
I can't vouch for it, but I had a body lift (PA) and a coil spacer combo on my 2nd Gen and I don't recall anyone I know who has one. Maybe BigRedOne can give specifics as to what he says the issues are with the kit for the 2nd Gens.
It still doesn't change the fact that the company is having money issues though...
This come from the rep from fabtech.
Installation of the kit requires that you weld the track bar bracket and
support tube into place. You must also weld new control arm pivot bracket
plates to the frame. Fabtech has you cut off the old lower mounts and then
plate in the open space.
Thanks to everyone for the advise to my question about a good lift for my 1999 2500 4x4. All the local shops want to push the Fab Tec lift on me I have heard that they are not so good from more than one source why is that?
As far as "kits" go, KORE or Carli are going to be your best choice. For bang for buck and performance, you need to talk to an offroad fabricator. And by fabricator I mean real, fabricator. Not bolton installers like ORW.
My budget is about $2500 for the lift. The Kore or Carli are both awesome but don’t have the lift height I’m looking for in my year Ram, plus the $ ISSUE.
