Just throwing this out there. When ever I'd hit a pot hole or bump on the freeway, my rig would shimmy from side to side horribly. It turned out that my ball joints were shot. I replaced those with some XRF ball joints and now it's solid as a rock. Just food for thought.
yea i was thinking the ball joints needed to be replaced and i had a garage tell me they were fine and they looked new, so im assuming its the trac bar
sounds like the death wobble , i had similar i believe genos garage had a tech article about front end alingment specs , that are different from what the shops say is right , changed mine to the new specs and feels like a whole different vehicle ,my guy that does front ends now uses it for all the 2nd generation dodges . i think if i remember it the camber that is the problem
I had the very same issue, some moron put car/light truck tires on my 2500 heavy 3/4 and every time I hit a hole or bump'd a place in the pavement on the interstate the front would shake out of my hand!!!!! I put some BFGs 285-75-16s and its never happened again. Hopes this helps ya out.
