With a brass plug.

I would not screw around with the integrity of a $600 manifold. I'd live with the reading or put an aftermarket gauge in that might have a longer sending unit.

Purps correct. Hardware store sells brass plugs with the correct thread and size. You can get them in many types, standard screwdriver top is my preference.

Screwing a brass plug in the hole is the same as screwing the brass coolant temp sensor in the hole.

Maybe so . But somehow I don't think it's an issue anyway. I think the design as a whole either, simply flows better or the manifold disperses the heat better.

dang guys.. I was simply going to pull the brass cap and put in the hole what's 'sposed to go in the hole- a sensor.. The other sensor won't hurt a thing hanging out exactly where it's at right now..

it should only be a ten minute job.. should... but, you guys know how ten minute jobs go..

Ain't nuthin happenin right now though.. It's dropping inedible, unsnortable, cold, white crap right now.. I'll get to it when I get to it... I'm just glad I got that lifter taken care of yesterday..

On my FI, there are two temperature sensor ports. I used the supplied brass cap and blocked one (the one closer to center of the manifold) and used the one I knew he wiring harness would reach.

At some point soon, I'm going to pull that keg of mines sensor and put it in that second port to see if it gets a better temperature reading from there.
You did have two sensors on the keg, correct?

One should be for the temp gauge and the other sends critical info to the PCM.

Which one did you leave out when you installed the F1? (Left or right of the T-stat)
