Default alignment

i just got new 285 tires and an alignment done at the same time. but if the road is uneven at all it will pull that way. how in the world can i stop it. i cant let go of the wheel or i will go off the road. and if i hit a bump with just one tire it will try to pull the wheels. what is making it do this????? and it all ways have done this....

Big heavy tires......

I assume they checked the steering linkages and such, post-steering box.... what about the box itself, and the intermediate shaft, and column? How's your track bar? Wheel bearings?

all roads, well most, have a "tilt" to them to get the water off the road. my truck does the samething and it is annoying. on the interstate my truck travels just fine. straight and true but on a 2 lane road it will "pull" to the right. it is the road and not your truck.

Unless you have more than 1 degree of camber differenc side to side, it probably isn't your alignment. Even if it is with a solid front axle adjusting caster isn't an easy task. Most likely if your pulling started after getting your new tires the issue is the tires. I would cross rotate the tires to see if the pulling switches sides or goes away. If it does then you know the problem is the tires.

Here is a very well written article on conicity. http://www.agcoauto.com/content/news/p2_articleid/181

Sungod i going to start by saying that you dont know what you are talking about. you can NOT cross rotate tires. the new tires have metal bans that will break if you turn your wheels backwards. And i dont want to drop a grand on new tires when there is nothin wrong with mine now

Back when radial tires were a new technology, that was true. Not so any more. Unless your tires have a directional tread, you can cross rotate without ill effect.

You also have to remember to switch from summer to winter air.

Wow! That made me laugh!!!! You are joking, right?

Let me get this straight, You are cluesless and come here asking questions because you know nothing, and you are going to tell someone who has worked in the tire business for over 20 years that they don't know what they are talking about? That is awesome!

What back woods shade tree gave you that advice? I'll go easy on you for now and just suggest that you go back and read the link I gave you. It always amazes me that people like you believe information that is completely false, but will question someone that knows the truth and provides you with detailed accurate information.
